MeLing Johnston joins CMCA as new auditor

Canadian Media Circulation Audit is pleased to announce that MeLing Johnston has joined the CMCA team as an auditor. 

Johnston has over 30 years of experience in the Canadian newspaper industry including marketing, finance, management and research. In her sales roles, she has been responsible for driving advertising revenue growth for print publications and has developed extensive marketing, advertising, and promotion programs for various clients and advertisers. She most recently served as vice-president, member services for the Newspaper Audience Databank (NADbank). In 1999, Johnston received the Newspaper Person of the Year award from the Advertising & Sales Club of Toronto in honour of her professional achievements.

“We are very excited to welcome MeLing Johnston as a new auditor for the CMCA program,” said Newspapers Canada CEO John Hinds. “Given her extensive advertising background and her accomplishments within the industry, I am certain she will make a valuable contribution toward the continued success of Canada’s number one circulation auditing bureau.”

As the CMCA program grows, Johnston will now be responsible for auditing all business and consumer publications and daily newspapers. Yan Gong will continue to audit community newspapers.
